Mahakumbh is incomplete without the presence of Naga Sadhus. They play an important role in happening this long-lasting event. The mysterious holy ceremonies accomplished by these Sadhus seek enormous attention from the followers attending the Kumbh every year. While it is a pleasure to watch them relaxing in their closed groups and distressing over chillums at Mahakumbh, there’s barely anything else known about their mysterious life.

To become a Naga Sadhu, one has to make strong promises. The procedure to attain Naga situation is very problematic and the training is so tough that it cannot be paralleled to the most energetic arrangements of any military around the world.

Naga Sadhus have strict terms and regulations to follow to. They can’t wear dresses, but can put on a single saffron cloth, which should not hide the whole body. They also polish their bodies with ashes.
Naga Sadhus beg for foodstuff in maximum seven houses. If they aren’t presented food in any of these 7 houses, they have to be hungry. Also, there is no option of meals for them. Whatsoever is presented by the donor, they have to take it and eat thankfully.
